PARANA STATE GOSPEL EXPLOSION - SCHOOL OF EVANGELISM & MIRACLE CRUSADES: The main theme of the teaching at the School of Evangelism was "Ministering In The Authority Of Your Identity". The organizer of this event, a native Brazillian and healing evangelist by the name of Douglas Martins, Jr., expressed his joy over the message because he felt that "this is just what the Brazillian believers need to hear right now."
Pastors Plummer & Lorraine Bailor of Brentwood Foursquare Gospel Church in Brentwood, MD, accompanied by Minister Dale Johnson of Spirit of Faith Christian Center, MD, ministered in seven different cities in the state of Parana, Brazil within a period of ten days. During this time, they experienced a fresh outpouring of the power and love of God's Holy Spirit on their lives and in the lives of the people of Parana State in Brazil.
Pastor Plummer Bailor observed that, the Brazillian culture is steeped in Catholicism and because of this, "many believers depend on the priest or pastor to do all the reading and studying of the Bible for them." He continued, "My goal was to empower them with the truth. Jesus Christ said, 'You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.' I wanted to show them the truth of who they are in Jesus Christ, and by God's grace, I beleive we accomplished that mission, to his glory."
Within these ten days, they experienced many miracles of God. Hundreds of people gave their lives to Christ for the first time. Many backsliders were restored by God's grace. Many received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. The blind received their sight, the deaf could hear again, they received several testimonies of back and leg pains being healed by the power of God. Reports of the spirit of depression being replaced by God's Spirit of joy in the lives of many believers came in.
One evening Pastor Plummer had shared Mark 16:17 with the people at the seminar, showing them that they too could drive out demons in the name of Jesus if they believed. All of a sudden, a woman who had come up for healing of stomach pains with several others began to let out ugly noises. As they watched, she continued making the noises then just as suddenly as she had started, buckled over on her knees and began foaming in the mouth. After what seemed like an eternity, she stopped, stood up with such a peace on her face that you knew she had experienced the power of God in her life. It was then she told them that she had been plagued with sickness and pain all over her body for a long time, and even the doctors could not help her but that now, all her pains especially her stomach pains had disappeared. Glory be to God.
